Nomi By Evomove - First Impressions

Weaning with Patrick slowly began almost two months ago now, I say slowly because I was so reluctant, he had shown signs of being ready from five months, but baring in mind his prematurity I really didn't want to push him. I was quite happy supplying my baby with milk and feeding him in my arms, I really was not in a rush to have him up and spoon fed, in all honesty I dreaded it because I knew deep down it was a sign of him growing up, something I didn't want to admit was quite obviously happening too fast. Though like every month has since his birth, December flew by and here we are fully into the weaning game. Initially I didn't rush out and buy a highchair for Patrick, we still had Noah's which I presumed he would grow into, it wasn't until mid December I realised that actually no, he wasn't filling the Ikea highchair out enough and we needed something with a bit more support for him. Noah had transitioned into that highchair when he was over one, so was well fitting for it, Patrick however at six months - not so much.

I began my hunt, but like most bloggers these days I was after something shall we say insta worthy? I didn't want a garish design, just something simple and stylish. Of course comfort and practicality were important too, but I am not ashamed to admit style was way up there in the top things I was looking for. To my absolute delight I stumbled across Nomi by Evomove  - firstly attracted by the sight of the chair, I was completely then won over by it's ability to adapt with your little one. It can grow as Patrick does, with different attachments for each age and stage, it really is the highchair of a lifetime. Evomove were so sweet and kind, and offered to send me one to try out, something I jumped at the chance to do, is it sad that I was stood waiting with the door open eagerly watching the delivery man unload the boxes from the van?

I was firstly, incredibly impressed with how easy it was to put together, it took me a mere twenty minutes with a baby by my side, all the tools you require come with the chair so I didn't have to go in search for Johns toolbox and figure out what the hell a Phillips meant. I felt seriously smug when John got home as normally I am a DIY -phobe. But what completely impressed me the most, was that the highchair has wheels, YES WHEELS. I've never seen or heard of this before, so in my eyes it was revolutionary. The highchair lives in the kitchen at the table, but of course we have brought it into the living room from time to time if I want to keep an eye on Noah too rather than drag him to the kitchen with us - it makes it so much easier as it means I can keep Patrick in it whilst I wheel it through, I don't have to risk carrying it at all. We're now having two meals a day and Patrick truly couldn't be happier, we both couldn't. The Nomi is so incredibly sturdy I often pop him inside when I'm cooking and give him a few toys to play with, he loves that he is up high and can see everything I'm up to. And I love that he's in a comfortable highchair that doesn't compromise on my style.

Stay tuned for my next Nomi update when we move further through our weaning journey. What kind of highchair do you look for, bright and bold or plain and simple?

*We were sent the Nomi highchair in return for our honest thoughts and opinions.

  1. I have every intention of getting one of these in the next few months - a bit more expensive than your normal high chair but I'll pay that gladly just for the way it looks. Absolutely gorgeous chair!

  11. Lovely looking chair, I'm with some of the other girls and unfortunately my girls are far to big for a highchair. As time goes on in find the baby stuff gets better and better. I will just have to enjoy looking at it because I'm definitely not having another just to try it out lol x
