THE CHRISTMAS TAG

I have that feeling when approaching the festive months, that a Mother has with their newborn baby, all the want to talk about is the baby, even if nobody cares, or no one is listening, it's baby, baby, baby. So if we substitute baby for Christmas - you have me! What better excuse for that, than twenty questions about the exact thing I am so desperate to discuss. Christmas means many things to many people, and that's why I find these sort of things super interesting. So, if you want to have a nosy through my Christmas thoughts, though I think I've made them pretty clear up till now. Keep reading.

  1. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve
Yes! We love doing this and we've done it since we were children. When we were younger we'd all have to wait till around 7pm, and my parents would select a present from under the tree that we could open. Though I remember one year mine was an alarm clock which turned out to be pretty disastrous. I was only about 8 or 9 and I messed around with all the buttons on it. That night I went to sleep, eventually after seriously struggling because I was far too excited. Only to be woke every single hour by this stupid alarm clock going off just loudly enough to wake me. I then had the struggle of trying to get back asleep every time.
  2. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?
The above is a firm favourite, and our Christmas Eve box, it's one of my favourite things to put together and Noah got so excited last year about it.
  3. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
It's fake, though when we get wood flooring next year we'll favour a real tree. I've always grown up with real tree's and I definitely miss the smell.
  4. What is your favourite Christmas film?
This is TOO hard. But I'm going with Elf. It's amazing.
  5. Where do you usually spend your holiday?
I'll talk more about our Christmas plans later in the month. But it'll be a pretty similar set up to last year, Christmas Eve at home and then Christmas mid morning we'll head to my parents.
  6. What is your favourite Christmas song?
Fairytale of New York - The Pogues.

  7. What is your all-time favourite holiday food/sweet treat?
Another tricky one as there really isn't that much Christmas food that you can't get all year round now. I love a big box of choccies though, those are staples aren't they? Pigs in blankets!
  8. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
I love giving, the whole process of waiting for them to open it when you know they'll love what's inside. I find opening things awkward, especially if it's in front of the people who bought it.
  9. What is your favourite thing about Christmas?
    EVERYTHING
  10. When do you start getting excited for Christmas?
I started getting excited in September.
  11. What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?
Oh there has been so many, my camera was pretty special last year. I've gotten so much use out of it.
  12. What is the worst present you’ve ever received?
What a horrid question, I've never been given something I haven't been grateful for, but I'm sure that alarm clock made me wish I hadn't unwrapped it that night.
  13. As a kid, did a sibling ever receive a present that you wished was for you?
Not that I can remember, we were always so lucky.
  14. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
Oh New York, without a shadow of a doubt. But not actually for Christmas, just during the Christmas period would be amazing.
  15. Most memorable Holiday moment?
Noah's first Christmas at just two weeks old was pretty special. He slept through all of the present opening like an absolute dream.
  16. Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?
I don't go all out, but there a few things each year I tell myself I'm going to do. It's rare that they're still going at the end of the year though.
  17. What makes the holidays special for you?
Family, food, festivities, everybody is so happy. It's just a magical time.
  18. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
    All the above.
  19. You have been granted one Christmas wish…what will it be?
    Snow on Christmas!!!
I now tag these lovely ladies to do the Christmas tag!
