A LITTLE ANNOUNCEMENT - MARK WARNER AMBASSADORS 2018

I've made no secret over the past few years of our love to travel and get some sunshine outside of the two week window that it appears in England. This year I was more determined than ever, with Patrick that little bit older now it meant we were slowly ticking off more places we could visit without the limits of a newborn or baby in tow. Flash back to a few weeks ago, you may have noticed my Mark Warner entry. I arrived late to the game, pushing my post in just fifty minutes before they closed and I settled with the mindset that although I wouldn't be chosen, I'd kick myself if I didn't enter. We'd entered last year and I felt a bit down when we didn't win, although looking back it's so easy to see why - I was a bit rubbish, the post this time around felt more personal and natural for me to write so I wasn't really losing anything in the process of talking about something I loved - travel.

Almost a whole week went by since I curated my post and there was complete silence, I've got to say I wouldn't want to be playing a poker match with the people at Mark Warner because there was absolutely no signs of which way they were going to lean. Until Thursday when a congratulatory email found it's way into my inbox. We're Mark Warner ambassadors for 2018 - it hasn't quite sunk in still yet and I don't think it will fully till we're back home from our holiday. I announced it on social media but naively assumed, until John told me off, that readers over here might not necessarily be following me elsewhere. I really ummed and ahhed about entering this year, with only one place for family bloggers it seemed slim to none, but biting the bullet and swallowing my pride paid off more than I could have imagined. It gave me a new view on things and a perspective that I'd never really bought into before, 'you only fail when you stop trying' is my new mantra and I guess that's a good place to start because my bikini body is well, none existent and that needs to change.

If you caught out post, you'll know that Turkey is really high on our list. I visited as a child and it would be just indescribable to take the boys back there, creating our own memories to contrast to those I have from twenty years ago. Another allure for me is the sunshine, it's almost guaranteed in Turkey that you're getting sunshine and even when you're not, there is lots to do and so much culture to absorb. I'm hoping that we'll get to grace Turkish waters again as their brand new Phokaia beach resort looks incredible. Of course I'll be taking Babies and Beauty along with us, we have a few travelling adventures planned for the year and everything will be documented here and across social. We're just so excited to be on board the Mark Warner adventures this year - because we know we're going to have an absolute blast.
