TOY SHOPPING WITH TKMAXX
Toy shopping is in full swing in this household, with Noah's birthday and Christmas coming up, we're definitely scouring the shelves to see what we can snap up. Though if I'm honest we have got quite bored of seeing the same toys, in every single store. The prices can fluctuate but we've noticed most stores really stocking the same things and it's made present buying that little bit more difficult this year, especially if your children are like ours and aren't into one big tv show character, or a specific type of toy.
Thankfully, we've teamed up with TK Maxx, who have encouraged us to head into their stores this weekend and see what hidden treasures we can find amongst the huge delivery of kids toys they've just had! If you've been here long, you'll know how much I absolutely adore TK Maxx it really is my favourite shop as there is a little bit of everything under one roof, and the bonus... it's all available online too! But, what I enjoy most is no two stores are the same, the variety of stock is absolutely huge and you are guaranteed to find something different in every single shop. Just this week I've visited two separate stores and found things in each that I know our boys will love. Whether it's books, soft teddies, construction toys, puzzles or dressing up clothes - they really do stock it all. And for prices that you truly can't complain about. Just this weekend I've grabbed toys that I know retail at double the price elsewhere, it makes me feel a little bit smug knowing I'm treating the boys whilst treating my purse strings too.
TK Maxx is a favourite of Noah's during half term. It's that time all parents dread isn't it? The smalls get wild after a week at home, and we end up counting down the days until they're back at school. We have our own tradition though, each half term Noah has a little £10 budget and we pop into our local TK Maxx and he's allowed to treat himself to something new. Completely his choice. He can go all out and select a huge toy for the full £10, or in the past he's picked two or three books along with a jigsaw. It's so exciting for him, as even just browsing the vast array on the shelves provides us with almost an hours worth of entertainment. Of course, being three means it's hard to pick when there is so much to choose from so we do have a couple of indecisive moments when we swap toys for others, or change our mind as we're heading to the tills. It's all part of the fun and I really recommend heading to your local store sharpish if you want to uncover some of amazing toys on offer, or simply if you're stuck for an activity to keep your little one busy this half term. I guarantee you'll uncover some hidden gems, all at amazingly good value!

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the TK Maxx toy department. You can get some really good deals on branded toys and they stock all the children's favourite ranges. Plus, it's always a bit exciting - never knowing what you're going to find! x
ReplyDeleteThere is a new TK Maxx that's opened near us. I struggle with the clothes and shoes, but the upstairs with home stuff and toys is amazing (I'm disappointed they didn't open a Homesense to be honest)
