So that's my weekly meal plan, I've left Sunday blank just so we have a day to play with as quite often we'll visit my Nan or parents for tea, or maybe even eat out. As you can see, all the ingredients we actually have already in the cupboards I have crossed through, not doing this before hand was leading to me umming and ahhing at Tesco and picking up items we already had 3 of at home. I was unorganised and silly. I'll definitely report back and let you know how it went, if we popped to the shop to pick up anything and whether I have reduced my food shop bill this month.
Meal planning is definitely the way forward! Saves so much waste and money. Good luck sticking to it this week! Xx
ReplyDeleteI do meal plan yet still end up with so much wastage. Weekly shops are costing a fortune and I really can't understand why!
ReplyDeleteI desperately need to start doing this. I keep saying but never do it!!
ReplyDeleteWell done! I've been doing a weekly meal plan for a few years and it's saved us time, money and the constant 'what shall we have for dinner' question, then realising we haven't taken anything out of the freezer to defrost in time. We now only buy what we need for the week ahead, unless store items are on offer, but I make sure they are included in the next weekly meal plan...nothing stays in the cupboard for more than two weeks!
ReplyDeleteSounds delicious x
ReplyDeleteMeal planning is a great way to save money on your grocery shop and also time since you aren't constantly trying to figure out what you are making for dinner. It can be a bit of work to stay on top of it, especially until you get in the habit, but it is worth it in the end.
