CALL ME CRAZY - I AM THINKING ABOUT CHRISTMAS.

I love Christmas, I live and breathe it come September. I'm one of the annoying people that is talking about it now and popping the festive tunes on in the car as soon as we've waved goodbye to August bank holiday. It's the only celebration that everyone around me gets to enjoy and look forward to together, other festivities like birthdays or going on holiday are very relative so you don't usually get the same build up as you do for Christmas, you know that feeling in the shops during December? When all the Christmas lights have their 'switches on' so the streets are twinkly as you're grabbing your last minute presents, I love that, and I can't freakin' wait for it to roll around.

Every year I think this is the year that I'm most excited, I remember feeling it last Christmas and I certainly feel it already this year. Noah will be four, a young four, but a very giddy one I'm sure. He's already searched out the Argos catalogue of what he'll be asking the big man for and I'd be a liar if I haven't used the 'Santa is watching' threat a couple of times, heck I've even bought a few Christmas themed things. I'm trying to be savvy this year, I was on maternity leave last year which meant that I had all the time in the world to plan and organise, think of gifts and re-think them again, this year with me back at work time isn't on my side the same, so I'm doing as much as I can to make it run a little smoother. I have already snapped up a couple of things in the sales, Patricks Christmas pyjamas for example, but as I work in the town centre now I'm able to pop out on my lunch break which I know will be a complete saviour come later in the year. I thought being back at work would make me feel a little glum about Christmas, but clearly that's not the case as it's already on my mind, it helps that Christmas does fall on a weekend this year meaning Christmas Eve will most definitely be spent with my boys at home, an added bonus being both me and John don't work for the week in between Christmas and New Year - bliss.



As for blogging, I'm hoping I'll manage blogmas again, I loved it last year and it seems you guys did too but I won't be piling the pressure on. If it all gets a little much, I'll most definitely let it drop as working 32 hours a week, juggling two boys and a blog is not easy work let me tell you that. Gift guides shall be featured as they're some of my most favourite posts to curate, especially stocking fillers as there is nothing I enjoy more than shopping for stockings. Patrick will only be 18 months at Christmas, so he's still very young to understand what on earth is happening, I'm sure Noah will probably help to up the anti and I guess this will be our last year of not being woken up at a ridiculous time to see if Santa has been right? I can't really remember when I started trying to get my parents out of bed at 3am, but as I shared a room with my older sister and from what I remember she'd force me to do the waking up of everyone, I'm sure I was quite young. I'm hoping we'll squeeze another year out of the pair of them yet, because as much as I love Christmas I sure as hell will not be opening presents before 7am. Now I can breathe a huge sigh of relief I've spat my word vomit of Christmas out, it has been some pent up excitement for a few weeks that I've been dying to pour out. Apologies for the Christmas in July talk, but I'm not really that sorry. Now who wants to watch Elf?
